Summer Fest News!

Summer Fest will be held on June 23rd at the University Club, with music by the popular Groove Kitchen. A fun, casual evening to meet old friends, make new ones, enjoy a fabulous buffet, and dance to the music we remember. The reception will be held on the University Club’s amazing patio with two bars to quickly serve you.

While still a couple of months to go, we have sufficient Member interest to proceed. But we’d like to sell out. A number of questions have been raised. We would like to share the response from the VRMNC Executive and the Summerfest Organizing Committee:

• Can we have guests?

We have decided to allow Members to invite friends. We will also be discussing with the Women’s Newcomers Groups to promote Summer Fest to their Members. We are hoping to attract new Members and promote interest in our Club. So if you would like to attend but haven’t bought your tickets, buy them now before we are sold out.

• Can we request seating?

As this is a mixed event, you can request seating arrangements (up to a table of 8). We will do our best to accommodate all requests on a first come first served basis. Everyone with a ticket will have a great seat with amazing people.

• Are the tickets refundable?

The answer is no except if Public Health orders dictate that we have to cancel the event.

• Number one question – what is the attire? What should we wear?

While we are planning for a first class event, the theme is summer fun. Casual, summery, colourful, resort wear is perfect. Best advice – wear the dancing shoes you wore when you were a teenager. Groove Kitchen will get your toes tapping.
