Hikes tend to be milder\, with the emphasis on socializing\, rather than rock-scrambling. Partners are welcome (encouraged) but not required for either hiking\, lunch\, or both. \nWHERE: Hikes generally commence from various trailheads in the Greater-Victoria and/or surrounding areas. (Once in awhile we venture a bit further afield.) Lunch follows at a restaurant or pub somewhere in the vicinity. \nWHEN: We meet once per month\, normally 2nd Sunday of the month. Typically we meet at 9:45 at the trailhead for a 10:00 start. Lunch is typically at 12:30 or so. \nWHO: Open to all VRMNC Members and partners. Hike Leaders volunteer from a yearly schedule (a.k.a. The Roster) maintained by the Coordinator. \nBRING: Sturdy hiking shoes\, suitable garb for the weather\, water\, and a snack\, if desired. All winter games are at Highland Pacific. \nWHEN: All games are on Wednesdays except at Ardmore where we play on Thursdays. Games start at 10:30AM at Ardmore and Metchosin. At Highland Pacific play starts at 11am from November through March and at 12:30pm from April through October. Many golfers stay for lunch following their rounds.
