New Members’ Suggestions for Improvement: Implementation

The VMNC Executive approved the following new Members’ suggestions for improving our Club:

Luncheons

  • The calendar will be used to advertise luncheons. Website Calendar now being used.
  • Luncheon coordinators will be requested to implement random seating selection. Executive members will seat at each table to facilitate conversations about the VMNC.
  • The Club will broaden the scope of dining out to include breakfast/brunch in selected restaurants in the region and include wives and partners. Request volunteers.
  • Luncheon locations where parking is easily accessible will be discussed with luncheon coordinators.

Speaker Presentations

  • The VMNC will implement a speakers’ bureau which includes VMNC members. Request volunteers.
  • Luncheon coordinators will be asked to involve new members in making speaker introductions and thanking speakers. Request volunteers.

 Communications

  • Our new Webmaster has made significant improvements.
  • The Website, emailed Newsletters and Facebook will be used as major vehicles for club information.
  • Members are requested to consult events on calendar.
  • The VMNC will continue the Club Contact initiative. Request volunteers.
  • VMNC representatives are requested to provide timely responses to inquiries.
  • Members will have the opportunity to meet activity coordinators at the fall AGM.

Activities

  • A process is being developed to provide activity coordinators with new member interests.
  • A process is being developed for starting new activities (e.g. poker) or new sections of existing activities.

Special Events

  • Events that include partners/spouses will continue to be organized, including initiatives with women’s newcomers clubs. Request volunteers.
  • Members are encouraged to suggest new activities to the Director-Special Events.

Recruitment and Retention

  • New VMNC One Page Flyer built and available to download and print/email.
  • Business Cards will be made available for Members to distribute to friends.

Organizational Leadership

  • VMNC will be creating two Directors-at-large positions. Request volunteers.
