Visit our Government House for a guided tour of the ceremonial home of all British Columbians. Valerie Raymond, former Canadian High Commissioner and Ambassador, has once again agreed to be our docent. She will outline the role and responsibilities of the Lieutenant Governor. Valerie will explain the fascinating history, architecture and native artifacts. As well, she will share the story of the drawings on the ceilings of this National Historic Site.

An optional guided tour of the gardens prior to the commencement of the Government House tour is available for a nominal cost. Maximum 12 people per guide. Enjoy the immaculate gardens, and see stunning views of the Juan de Fuca Strait and the Olympic mountains.

After the tour, you will have the option to enjoy a refreshment at the Tea House and visit the Cary Castle Mews, the Interpretative Centre, and the Costume House. Click here for details.

Maximum: 24, limited to VMNC current members and spouses

Cost: Free for the Government House tour, $5.00 for the guided garden tour.
