Government House on 1401 Rockland Avenue is offering three free concerts on the lawn in July. These concerts called Music on the Lawn will feature the band Rukus on Thursday, July 6, Mad Day Out on Thursday, July 13 and Dock Side Drive on Thursday, July 20. Concerts start at 6pm in the bandshell on the east lawn. Government House will be open from 4:30pm – 5:30pm on concert nights for a walk-through. Bring your lawn chairs!

Beacon Hill Park’s Cameron Bandshell: Whether you like jazz and blues, or classical, folk or swing, there’s something for everyone at Afternoon Concerts in the Park. Free concerts will take place Friday to Monday from 1:30 p.m. to 3:20 p.m. from July 7 to September 11, 2017 at the Cameron Bandshell in Beacon Hill Park. The Afternoon Concerts in the Park series is presented by the City of Victoria. All concerts are “rain or shine” and are subject to change, more information here.

The Greater Victoria Public Library has launched free access to Lynda.com, an online learning resource with 3,000 online courses and 140,000-plus videos taught by experts. To access Lynda.com, GVPL cardholders can visit www.gvpl.ca, click on Lynda.com on their homepage, and log in using their library card’s bar code and their password.
