The Centre for Plant Health, formerly the Saanichton Plant Quarantine Station, is operated by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. The facility is the national centre of expertise for plant virus and virus-like diseases of tree fruit, grapevine, ornamental plants and small fruit, and is located on approximately 48 hectares of
land south of Sidney on Vancouver Island.
Three tours on Sunday morning that last about an hour with Thomas Niederberger, Lab Director, along with a lab technician and a biologist.
